Blaze Destroys Servay Hypermarket, Penampang

We were alert by my husband last night after came back from helping my Aunty’s car broke down around Donggongon, that the popular Servay Hypermarket and the biggest in Penampang are on fire. Everyone at home was shocked and went out to the house compound to see the big smokes on the air and saying to each other that must be a very big fire, a few questions mark in our heads... how, why it happens? We were also told that it was blocked and jammed around the road to Servay. Well, the traffic trying to avoid unnecessary things happened.

BEFORE

and...
AFTER

We’ve been shopping at Servay quite often before the CKS, Grand Millennium open. I feel sorry to the Hypermarket owner. I believe necessary arrangement can be done, Insurance perhaps and other arrangement too.

More news in today's paper...

Loosing Weight – What Works For YOU?

Wouldn't it be nice to get rid of those extra bulges and get a slender figure just by popping a pill or two? As easy as taking aspirin for a headache! Don't be too quick to rush for the nearest pharmacy when you see an ad for lose weight pills though. Very few lose weight pills have been proven to be in any way effective in the long term and many of them, instead of doing you a bit of good, could result in major health problems.

It never came across my mind to take lose weight pills as a short cut to loose weight. Eventhough, I’d the intention to try but never take it so far. I prefer to go on diet, just take right foods on a daily basis eat fruits, veggies, proteins, limited fats and starches, and drink lots of fluids.

However, there’s one time that my diet went wrong though, and that’s during the Chinese New Year 2 years ago. I’ve taken an overdose of Mandarin orange (well, I’m a Mandarin orange lover for your info… I can finish a box a day by myself *grin*). Then, I was fallen sick for a month and imagine during that time whatever I’d consumed, it will come out immediately, I was thought that I suffered of anorexia but guess its not, the Doctor examined it was food poisoning…

By the way, guess what? I lost 20kg in just a month and too bad that’s only within a short period. I think after 9 months, I gain 3kg, then gain 2kg, then gain 1kg and now… no comment *sigh* arrggghhhh…!!!!!

Blog About A Mommy Blogger

I believe and very sure about a lot of Mommies Blogger out there… agree with me? All Mommies should be proud to ourselves being creative and good writers than the men…*grin*

Right, talking about creative and a good writer… while browsing the socialspark (again), I came across to one of the Mommy Blogger, Mummified Times Five, an Aussie stay at home wife and mom with five children. Her blog is a "mommy blog" with posts about being a mom, family, home, shopping, and just a touch of venting. She started blogging since October 2007. I’d enjoyed reading most of her posts. You may visit Mummified Times Five as well to find out more...

My dear new Mommy Blogger friend, I should ask your permission to copy this one from your blog;-

Big People's Words

A class of kindergartners was trying very hard to become accustomed to the first grade. The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on “NO baby talk!” “You need to use ‘Big People’ words,” she was always reminding them. She asked Chris what he had done over the weekend. “I went to visit my Nana.” “No, you went to visit your GRANDMOTHER. Use ‘Big people’ words!” She then asked Mitchell what he had done “I took a ride on a choo-choo.” She said “No, you took a ride on a TRAIN. You must remember to use ‘Big People’ words.” She then asked little Alex what he had done. “I read a book,” he replied. “That’s WONDERFUL!” the teacher said. “What book did you read?” Alex thought real hard about it, then puffed out his little chest with great pride, and said, “Winnie the SHIT .”

Nice one for a good laugh eh...*wink*

Nurses' Stories

Well, I’m not a Nurse but during my childhood I used to dream about to be a Doctor or Nurse. Why Nurse? Errmmm… that time my thought was being a Nurse is considered a Doctor. Being a Nurse I can help more patients who are in needs, the main thing is I can earn more money and so on… you know, that kind of child thinking the old days :D. As time goes by, as I’d observed few Nurses working environment… phew! It’s not an easy job man! It requires most of your patience, your time and the important is never give wrong information to the patients. Some says Nurses are Angels!. Most of my experiences with Nurses during my second child that need to go in and out to and from the Government Hospital was everything great!. However it is, of course there will be fun, joy and happiness in their working environment.

Just take your time to read some of these and you will know...

Assignment (By Kim Jordan RN)
I have nine patients, you are but one
I will walk five miles before I am done
Tip toeing in and out of the rooms
Darkened and quiet like silent tombs
I try not to wake you, for there is no time
When trying to divide eight hours by nine.

I Gave My First Injection Today (Sent in by Misspr@aol.com)
I gave my first injection today, now wait before you get bored and want to walk away, its been a long road to get where I'm at, 15 years to be precise now what do you think of that? This has been my life's dream to take care of the sick and work with a team of caring professionals with all the same goal of ridding aches and pains and doing work that's not in vain. So maybe now I have your attention so I can tell you my story and you possibly won't find it so boring I gave my first injection today and my patient didn't flinch she said she didn't feel a thing. What a wonderful compliment that she gave to me "a wonderful nurse you are going to be". I also passed meds and cleaned lots of wounds and held a lot of hands before I walked from the rooms. You wonder how can I be so happy in all this misery? You see I guess I see it different than the average Joe, before you think I am crazy just let me explain. If I can ease just one pain or dry just one eye or offer just one daughter some comfort when she finds out her mother has just died. I have accomplished my task and have been successful in my goals to have offered a hand when life has taken its tolls. See I have been truly blessed to have touched these lives and pray I never find it boring or bothersome to do the meaningless of task. Even when the most trying of patients call and ask. My goal is to answer every time with a smile and ask for forgiveness when I can't after I have gone mile after mile. Have I told you yet I gave my first injection today. I am a student nurse and for dedication I pray.

Patients Say The Funniest Things (Submitted by: Christine Pearson)
I work as a Diabetic specialist nurse. An elderly lady was in clinic, and I asked her if she could read the eye chart for me covering her left eye.

"I can' t dear," came her reply.
Okay cover your other eye and read the chart.
"I can't dear," was the reply again.
I thought for a moment. then asked if she could read.
"Oh yes dear" came the reply.
Well read the chart for me then.
"I can't dear," came the reply again.
By this time I was puzzled. So asked if she could see the chart.
"Oh yes dear," came the reply.
Feeling frustrated by this time, I asked why she could not read the chart.
The answer came "because I can't pronounce it!"

Renovation

Our office is under renovation since Saturday. This is due to the tenant at the ground floor are complaining about leakage where waters came out to their restaurant. It was believe that the problem is from the piping system of the above floors. Whatever it is, construction works got to be done. Therefore the office are so noisy when they do drilling, very annoying too, we can't even listen properly when people calling the office... too bad! One even worst thing, we can't use the washroom (we was told for 2 weeks)... aiyoooo, so troublesome lah. We need to go down to the coffee shop and be nice to the 'taukeh' or need to tapau food in order to be allows to use their washroom...*sigh* We hoping that the construction works will end soon, otherwise it's very uncomfortable for us in the office...

Silly Funny...

Last Monday my friend and I went for sales visit together. After done with some visits, we ended up in the coffee shop had our drink and chat. We'd a lot of stories sharing since we never met up for quite awhile. When come to funny one, there we laughed like crazy. Guess what? my friend told me about one silly and real funny during their pre-opening hotel. What happened was, one of the new staff (1st time working in the hotel) was asked by an account staff "when are you dry run / trial run?". Then the new staff answered "since I'm new in the hotel, I do not know what is the meaning of dry run / trial run actually". Then the account staff picked someone in sales who can answer the new staff "Ms Y, can you explain the meaning of dry run / trial run to the new staff" (I was told by my friend that Ms Y is always boasting and always pretend that she knows everything in the office, in other words a great pretender as per my friend). Then Ms Y start explaining "Ma'am dry run means itu anu bah kan... anu bah... itu longkang kering kan Ma'am... ah ya lah, ngam lah... longkang kering"
Ohhh....man!!! just imagine how we laughed that time... sampai orang di sebelah meja tengok kami semacam, cannot tahan ketawa bah... so funny! My friend told me she wanted to help to explain the correct meaning but she just cannot because the moment she heard Ms Y explained that way... she also laughed setengah mati. Oh! poor new staff got the wrong information though...

Am I Too Fast...

I'll be in the office for 2 weeks without sales visit since my colleague is on her long leave. Therefore, I'll be doing lots of paper works in the office. Well, that started yesterday and I only managed to do some office work for half day due to the office computer gone crazy, errmmm... the computer is quite old already and very slow... I don't know whats gone wrong, it's suddenly got stucked in the middle of doing the correspondance. Hmmm... am I typing too fast than the computer??? *sigh* As usual, I tried to switched off everything and switched on again, but it did not back to the normal screen, it only allowed me to the safe mode screen where only covered a minimal programme that I cannot print at all... arrggghhhh!!! It really tested my patience though. Worst come to worst I'd to called my colleague to informed about it, oh dear my colleague became worried on her holiday mood, she's afraid that it might caused data lost. And guess what she told me... "It never happen like this before, the computer never get stuck". Aiyoyooo... my turn became worried... is it because of me??? well, maybe...if I'm too fast typing than the slow computer...*grin* Anyway, I get the computer man to come and lucky he told me that the computer might infected long time already and that day wasn't a good day as it's up to the limit (virus datang menyerang bah...). However, the computer man need bring the computer back to his office to do necessary thing. I hope it will only take a day to recover the problem otherwise macam orang cacat pula saya di office tidak dapat buat kerja or do I need to do manual... by handwritting? oh no...!

Speechless trus sia ohhh... well, of course will get something for her birthday, but still thinking what are the things, any ideas? Lyssa not much into toys, ermmm... books maybe, but very soon to be "chipsmore". I'd sent text to Anies to order Alyssa's cake but she is yet to give me the answer if she can make it. Unexpected...

On 31st July was my 4th day staying in Sabah Hotel, that time was my FAM trip / Orientation. Well, I was attracted with the working environment, it looks peace and harmony. Everyone seems friendly and helpful. Ohhh dear... I've created an unexpected history on my 4th day in the office. Can you imagine that I'd broke one of my colleague Molly's chair....mannn! Am I that too heavy for staying a few days in Sandakan? errmmm... well, I've been eating for the past 3 days...*grin* ha! ha! ha! but couldn't be gain weight that badly... kuang kuang kuang!. They laugh at me till one of my colleague Aishah, laugh until seated on the floor... I'm so embarace (my face turn pink red I think). They keep talking about it whenever seeing me around... I just don't know how it was happened, but while I'm busy checking my Telekom seminar event order, we suddenly heard a cracked sounds and I felt the chair that I'm sitting 'tersenget' a bit. Oppsss... the chair must be cracked, we then checked, there you go, the plastic armed has broken... phew! time to go on diet again!!!!

Another thing happened on the same day (wahhh... 4th day not a good number eh...*sigh*). I was asked to move to a smaller room at the old wing (Borneo Wing). Oh no! the room has so much different, the bed is smaller (talking about the single bed size), no bathtub, the carpet look so old but well, it's a complimentary room anyway *wink*. However, the Borneo Wing rooms are going to be renovated and some of the rooms are under renovation and yet to be open for sell soon!

Right, if you have any plan for Sandakan... Sabah Hotel is the right place to stay. Let me know if you need further assistance with your accommadation, seminar or any function... cheers!

Unforgettable Moment...

I suppose to share about this true story early this week, but I just can't grab a time though, by the way here you go...

Every Sunday my Aunt Elsie has a very important responsibility sending and fetch all the children (her daugther, 3 of my first cousins, my niece and nephew) to the church for Sunday school. Imagine her Kancil are packed with 6 of them (aged between 8 to 15 years old).

Anyway, what had happened last Sunday was, after Aunt Elsie drop them around the Church compound, suddenly a lady stopped her for a help, my Aunt was shocked but she just acted cool...

The lady asked my Aunt whether she can follow her car to Servay Hypermarket to buy something.

Then my Aunt told the lady that Servay is not open yet, it's only open at 10.00 am and it is only 8.00 am at that time.

Then the lady said "nevermind..., you just drop me anyway where I can buy the 'thing.' ".

While driving towards the Servay area, my Aunt got confused and wondering what is the main 'thing' that she wanted to buy. My Aunt saw the lady holding RM10.00... with her curiousity, my Aunt asked "what actually the 'thing' you wanted to buy real badly? (There's a big question mark inside her mind, the lady might be crazy, on drugs or anything bad that she never know...)

Then the lady told my Aunt, she said "Aunty I'm so sorry... I was actually forgotten to wear my bra, I only noticed after I took the holly water at the Church entrance, I'm straight away go off and saw you, as I can see, you're such a nice person... that's why I dare to stop you otherwise I won't simply stop people just like that..."

Phew! my Aunt feels a little bit better and immediately stop her car near to a van where her Kancil can hide and guess what?... since no shop selling bra open that early, what she does was... she took off her bra and gave it to the lady, the lady was 'ok' with that. The lady then put on the bra and my Aunt has to drove her back to the Church and it is just on time the prayer started. The lady appreciated my Aunt's help and wanted to pay, but my Aunt said "it's ok, no need to pay, just take the bra." (My Aunt told us, it's actually her old bra, but still ok lah...hehehe...)

Ohhh....man! it's so funny until we laugh like crazy when my Aunt told us about it... but when we think it back may be it tells something good might happen to my Aunt, you know, helping someone whose going to the Church, ermmm... well, might get blessing. So many good things we says about the incident and one of them is buying "4D" that Sunday, hahahahaaa... what a day...
